Enjoy a meal after church, then meet in Linwood’s back parking lot to embark on a journey and see expansive views of an impressive river and rocky outcroppings. Start out by hiking across a swinging bridge and see large basalt structures rising out of the river as you cross into Riverside State Park. Once across the bridge, can go upstream for a closer look at the basalt formations in and near the river or downstream and pass rapids on the Spokane River and a basalt bench with views of the river.
