A Multicultural Christmas Concert: Women’s Healing and Empowerment Network presents its second annual concert, “WE WERE THE REASON:  A Multicultural Christmas”  on December 20 , 7:00 — 8:30 p.m. at the West Central Multi-Cultural Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1201 West Spofford, Spokane, Wash.  Songs will be featured from various cultures including Russian, African, Hispanic, and German. Ellen G. White Named Among 100 Most Significant Americans: The Smithsonian magazine named the co-founder of the Seventh-day Adventist Church as one of the 100 most significant Americans of all times. The magazine places White in a group that includes Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King Jr., and Helen Keller in its Spring 2015 issue. The individuals were chosen with the use of an algorithm that measures data taken from Wikipedia pages and Google book scans. Read more here.

Walker and Wheelchair Available: Kriss Mitchell has a heavy duty walker in excellent condition, and an electric wheelchair to give away.  She would prefer these go to a veteran if possible. The wheelchair needs a new battery and it may need a new battery gauge. The chair is over 10 years old but has been well cared for. It is designed for a larger person and operates from a toggle on the left side of the chair.  It is a red “Jazzy” brand. You would need to provide transport for these items.
