Bible classes for children each week in church give them an important place to learn and grow. Seventh-day Adventist churches offer these classes, called “Sabbath School” for all ages every Saturday. Our Sabbath School classes begin at 9:30 a.m. Beginners (ages 0-3), Kindergarten (ages 4-5), Primary (ages 6-9), and Junior/Youth (ages 10-17) to help children make Jesus first in their lives. Jesus ministered to the children and calls us to follow His footsteps. Each Sabbath morning, Sabbath schools for each age group welcome children to active learning geared to their stage of faith development. These classes provide faith-shaping experiences for newborns through adolescents.
- Cradle Roll – Beginners: birth–2 years old We have a very strong Cradle Roll Sabbath School class at Linwood. Our leadership’s love shines through as the children are talked about Jesus. The leadership gives an extraordinary foundation for the children ranging in age from newborn to 2 years old.
- Kindergarten: 2–5 years old Linwood’s Kindergarten leadership is truly blessed to lead Kindergarten for three decades now. The Lord continually inspires leadership in making each Sabbath Christ-centered and fun. In Kindergarten we learn of God’s love through songs, activities and prayer. We often are the Bible story as we try to make it come alive. At the end of class the children enjoy a craft that is based on each week’s lesson. Come!
- Primary: 6–10 years old (grades 1–4) Children that go to the Linwood Primary Sabbath School class have a real treat – they get to enjoy music, singing, and learning about Jesus. The Bible studies draws the children ages 6—9 into a closer walk with Jesus.
- Juniors / Teen: 11–15 years old (grades 5–10) We are blessed to have a combined class helping the children receive an incredible direction each week and have fun learning about Jesus. The kids learn about the love Jesus has for them through stories from other people’s life experiences and share their understanding of Christianity by thinking and responding in discussion and activities. Bible stories and group activities help give a strong visional lesson that will help the kids choose Jesus through life.
