    Palisades Christian Academy

Here is an update from Sarah's mom, Diana Jenkins, on her progress. For those of you new to the school, Sarah was a kindergartener at PCA last year and is battling complications from a July surgery to remove a brain tumor. Please continue to keep this family in your prayers."Sarah continues to smile at appropriate times to both funny things we use to do at home and new funny things! Our gracious God and almighty Savior is so faithful!! Sarah is progressing along well in rehab sessions. She got some injections yesterday to help keep her muscles loose and Monday we are going to Harborview for the follow-up angiogram after the stent placement a month ago. God willing we will return to Children's Tuesday after staying 1 night for observation. We are so grateful and thankful to our God for His continued healing! Funny story, I was coming back to Sarah's room one night during shift change and the nurses had their backs to me, I heard one of them say "I'm glad they have their faith". It made me stop and think. First I prayed that she come to know and love The Lord, but then I thought does she not know Who My Father is? Does she not know that He is the existing One - the "I AM" who brings all things into being? It made me think about my perception of my great and awesome God and I can see clearly why I trust Him completely and have unwavering faith. I have complete confidence in the Father's character and His willingness to act on my behalf. I only know that with my limited human knowledge I can only imagine how much He loves me and I have no idea of all the resources He is able to use because I am limited to what I know. I guess it would be easy to use what we can't understand as an excuse not to trust The Lord; true faith begins in the humility of knowing we don't know and can't really even image how almighty Our Creator is. Our focus should always remain on our matchless God, for which nothing is too hard!! So I too am so glad we have our faith. Sorry so long but I had to tell you this made me so so appreciative of all of you who like us, pray for Sarah to the great I AM. Thank you for all your prayers they are so powerful!!"
